Global Arms Trade and their effects

Visual Identity & Graphic Design
for the World Peace Foundation
2022

Overview

I partnered with the World Peace Foundation to create a series of digital social media graphics to promote their recent  reports on arms exports to conflict zones, highlighting three state-specific cases involving France, the United Kingdom, and the United states.  The series not only needed to be attention-grabbing, but also impactful enough to get the audience to participate in several online events. While working with the organization's color palette and typography, I used methodically silhouetted, graphical elements to provide platforms for discussion. Additionally, I used  space to communicate the dense content they required about the events.

I worked closely with the Outreach Coordinator for World Peace Foundation to conceive ideas that maintained a consistent thematic appearance in order to strengthen the campaign. The graphics were an organizational hit, and were used on their website, infographics, reports, and presentations.

Challenges

• Collaborating with technical writers to simplify very complex ideas and terminology.
• Methodical use of space in order to provide a graphical presence and a functional platform.
• Working on 1-2 business day deadlines, including revisioning and proofing.
